Miller Engineering owns and operates a 1000 acre farm and ranch in Twin Falls Idaho. Crops produced include potatoes (of course), alfalfa, sugar beets, sweet, field, and silage corn, barley for Coors and Budweiser and winter wheat.
The ranch is also the home for 300 registered black angus cattle described elsewhere in this website.
We are currently constructing a small 550 kVa hydroelectric plant off of the Snake River, which adjoins the farm operations.
The agricultural engineering person who actively managed the Idaho farm/ranch operations on site is now available in the Michigan area as well to bring his experiences for the purposes of consulting in the Michigan-Ohio area. Through these experiences we have familiarity with a large percentage of the types of farm operations and equipment which can potentially be involved in accidents. We are also are in a position to assist in systems design from simple individual pieces of equipment to complicated automatic irrigation and hydro electric systems.
Combined with the experiences of other engineers in the Miller Engineering firm, we can act as experts in many of the warning, labeling, toxic material, vehicular accidents, all terrain vehicle usage and animal safety issues confronted in farm/ranch operations.
On staff, we also have a licensed applicator for herbicides, fertilizer, pesticides, insecticides, and restricted use chemicals.
